FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

CAN MY CAST IRON BATH BE RESTORED?

Yes, if it is damaged, a specialist is able to grind away the damaged surface and polish the enamel coating back to its original shine and colour.

HOW DOES CAST IRON COMPARE TO OTHER MATERIALS?

Stronger than steel, cast iron offers incredible durability and longevity for your home, which is why every freestanding cast iron bath in our collection comes with a lifetime guarantee. Highly resistant to damage, cast iron baths also retain heat for longer, enabling you to enjoy long, relaxing soaks.

HOW HEAVY ARE CAST IRON BATHS?

Our cast iron baths weigh between 143kg and 206kg.

HOW DO I MAINTAIN A FREESTANDING CAST IRON BATH?

Cast iron baths are relatively easy to care for, and every Lusso design comes with an enamel coating for additional durability. To clean cast iron, you simply need a non-abrasive cleaner, such as liquid dish soap, a soft sponge or cloth, and a towel. You can find full instructions in our cleaning guide.

WHAT FINISHES ARE AVAILABLE AS PART OF THE TRADITIONAL COLLECTION?

Our vanity units and cast iron baths are available in neutral tones of matte white, matte stone and matte cream. Our traditional brassware, taps, and accessories feature brushed gold, aged bronze and polished nickel finishes.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN POLISHED NICKEL AND CHROME?

Polished nickel has a warm, rich tone and is associated with traditional silver, whereas chrome is typically colder with a blue hue and gives off a radiant surface.

IS POLISHED NICKEL HIGH MAINTENANCE?

Polished nickel should be cleaned every day to prevent dirt and stains building up.
