How does a freestanding bath differ from a fitted bath?

Unlike a fitted bath, a freestanding bath doesn’t need to be attached to any supporting walls as it can be positioned in place either directly on the floor or mounted on feet, depending on the design. As a result, freestanding baths are available in a much wider range of shapes and styles, creating a stronger visual impact in any bathroom space.

How do I install a freestanding bath?

Each of our freestanding baths come with detailed installation instructions to simplify the process. On the product page for your chosen freestanding bath, you can also find a technical drawing which should be downloaded and checked prior to installation as it shows the exact dimensions of the bath base, the bath void depth, and the location of the bath waste fitting. 

Are freestanding baths comfortable?

Our freestanding baths are designed to offer maximum comfort, offering generous depth and thickness for body support. Many of the materials we use - such as composite stone and cast iron - can also help to retain water heat, enabling you to enjoy relaxing baths for longer. The recommended cleaning materials and methods vary slightly depending on whether you choose a freestanding stone bath, marble bath, cast iron bath, or Lusso Light acrylic bath, however you can find instructions across the relevant product pages on our website.

Can I add a freestanding bath to a small bathroom?

To enable you to install a freestanding bath within a small bathroom, we offer a number of compact sizes - starting from 1200mm - that are more suitable for areas with limited space. For additional versatility, we’ve also introduced the Lusso Light range which mirrors the look and feel of our composite stone collections while offering the advantages of a lightweight material, ideal for homes that can't carry the weight of stone.
