Cleaning an acrylic bath is simple and easy, however there are steps you should take to avoid mildew and stains. For general cleaning, use a damp sponge or microfibre cleaning cloth to gently scrub with a non-abrasive tub cleaner. Avoid using harsh chemicals that can damage the appearance of your acrylic bath, such as solvents, bleach, acidic cleaners, petroleum-based products and nail polish remover. 

Acrylic is a non-porous material that doesn’t absorb water, which means acrylic baths are extremely durable and can last for many years. As testament to the high quality of the Lusso Light collection, each acrylic bath in the range comes with a 15 year guarantee. 

Although lightweight, acrylic baths will stay in position when properly installed. Simply set your acrylic bath in place and adjust the tub feet as necessary until level. Next, apply a generous bead of silicone on the bottom of the feet to prevent the tub from moving.

Our freestanding acrylic baths are almost half the weight of stone baths, making them an ideal alternative for living settings where a heavier design can’t be accommodated. Our acrylic baths weight between 33kg to 57kg.

Typically, acrylic baths will incorporate a thickness between 5 to 10mm, however our double skinned acrylic baths are more robust to offer longevity, comfort and durability. 

We recommend appointing a qualified professional to install our acrylic baths. While acrylic is a lightweight material, correct installation is essential to ensure stability and optimal performance.

We don’t recommend painting our acrylic baths, as acrylic surfaces are expertly finished to achieve a smooth finish that is long-lasting. Applying paint can compromise the integrity of the material, affecting both visual appeal and functionality.
